Order placed on 5th May with a promise of ‘delivery to you within 2 weeks’. I called up on the last day of the delivery window (after no contact from HU) to be told my order is delayed and was then expected to arrive end of May and to give them 7 days to ‘check it off and assign a courier). The weeks have been and gone with no contact from HU to let me know my order status?! I called 3 times yesterday and was promised a call back each time- still no call back.
I’m not holding my breath for a delivery on Monday as promised. We specifically chose a Uk based company for our furniture to help home grown businesses but this has been a total let down.
It’s poor customer service to:
1.Advertise and sell items you know you don’t have in stock
2. Not to pro actively update your customers on their delayed orders
3. Not call a customer back after repeated requests.
What I will find most offensive of all is if you blame your poor contact on covid because if you can take my money you should deliver what you promised and if not you could at least reach out to let me know why! I’m sure there are plenty of staff working to take payments at the finance end of the business so maybe you could shuffle a few seats and place more on customer service.
Average service table was delayed and I was told by the cashier on the phone we can refund your money if you can’t wait in a rude tone/manner the table it’s self is poor quality for the price marked easily not even had it four months

I had my first baby in 2018 and bought all of the essential items such as nursery furniture, pram and moses basket from Coo Chi Coo at Housing Units (along with lots of non-essential times!). We received a lovely gift card for afternoon tea in the restaurant which was a lovely gesture. All of the items we bought have been fab and therefore, whilst currently preparing for the arrival of another baby, we knew we wanted to go back to Coo Chi Coo.
The customer service has always been amazing and our recent visit only confirmed this. Michelle was absolutely fantastic and went out of her way to help us. All of the staff are friendly and helpful, and have a unique way of making you feel at ease and valued.
There are often great deals on in store and I love everything they stock. The clothes and shoes are gorgeous (although I do save those for special occasions as they can be out of my budget).
My recent visit was actually the first shop I have been in since before March 2020 when the first lockdown happened, and I would like to thank Coo Chi Coo for making the store feel Covid safe.
I’m not sure if the facilities are open at the moment due to Covid restrictions, but the baby changing facilities in store were always very clean and very spacious. Designed with Mums and babies in mind rather than us having to just “make do”.
Overall I personally love it here. I recommend it to friends who didn’t know it was there, tucked away in the corner.

The ordered goods were in the stock but I was not notified. Otherwise, good quality goods, excellent service, staff very polite and helpful. You get what you have ordered.
I have been waiting 7 months for my order to arrive and have been told that they are expecting the items in the warehouse within the next week, week after week. Why am I still waiting? Because I’ve been waiting long enough already and can’t stand the thought of waiting for no reason as I can’t get these items anywhere else. I’m sure the items will be lovely when they arrive, but poor customer experience and a lack of compensation and/or assurance prompts a one star review and probably no future orders.
EDIT IN RESPONSE TO HU: I was told that there was a delay till beginning of May or end or April, not till June. Also, the delivery was expected in 12 weeks according to your website at the time, which I still have a screenshot for from the time of ordering. Time has exceeded well beyond that - maybe put a disclaimer on your items because it’s false advertisement otherwise. Also, call your customers and keep them updated instead of wasting more of their time and making them chase. I will wait and see if I actually get the order this month to update the review, but again, a discount on the items or a small part refund for the long delay would have been a nice gesture.

A month after my order was meant to be dispatched, I am still waiting for my items, having spent hundreds of pounds with this company. I have received no communication from the company, despite my order being delayed twice. I have had to continuously chase them up for information with staff just telling me to keep waiting...
Fantastic experience all round!! Beats John Lewis! Shopped around for some designer bedding and found it at a great price. Ordered, despatched and delivered in two days with free delivery. Easy ordering and updates on email. Brilliant all round. Haven’t used or heard of them before but will make a trip to the Store when I’m next in the area.
Visited housing units today to order garden furniture and a sofa and received excellent service. Mike Mc Ardle has been amazing. He has kept in contact with us throughout lockdown and had great patience while we pondered on what to buy for several months. He is a credit to housing units.
Ordered the Tempur Pillow on Thursday, delivered by DPD on Saturday! Brilliant service, love the pillow and would definitely buy from them again!
Brilliant service when I came to pick up my item the guy was really helpful.
